Debra Gay Kirchoffner, 71, Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away at her residence

Memorial service for Debra Gay Kirchoffner will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Debra was born May 15, 1953, in Crosby, to Milo and Alice (Bratlien) Dihle. She grew up in Columbus, and graduated high school there in 1971. Debra married Ken Kirchoffner on September 27, 1976 in Columbus.

She attended business school in Minot. After business school, Debra worked for Pan Am in North Dakota. She later worked as a lead tech writer for the Lockheed Martin Trident Submarine Base in Silverdale, Washington. Debra lived in Poulsbo and Kingston, Washington, for 45 years before moving to Texas in 2021. She loved working with flowers and doing landscaping in her yard. She was also an avid NASCAR fan.

She is survived by brother, Joel Dihle and wife, Laurie; sister, Becky Bowen and husband, Al; nieces and nephews, Preston Dihle (Sylvia); Tyler Dihle (Emily); Sarah Tull (Chuck); Aimee Stotts (Kayle); Rachel Granholm (Tyler); Derek Bowen and Dana Bowen; numerous great nieces and great nephews and dog, Ida.

Debra was preceded in death by parents; husband, Ken; several aunts and uncles and her beloved four-legged companion, Dakota.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
