Longtime Pasadena resident Buff Megaw passed away in Los Angeles on November 30, 2024.
A beloved only child raised in Sarasota, Florida, Buff graduated with a degree in Art History from Florida State University and received her M.B.A. from the University of Southern California. She worked for decades in development at various Pasadena non-profits, including the Senior Center, Frostig School, the Armory Center for the Arts, Kidspace Children’s Museum, Planned Parenthood of Pasadena and the Pasadena Educational Foundation. She served on the Board of the Friends of the Library and on the City’s Public Arts Commission.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Graham and Margaret Megaw of Sarasota, Florida. She is survived by her daughter, Megan Plunkett, of Los Angeles, California.
Buff was a cherished friend to so many and will be remembered for her unerring warmth, kindness and generosity. In remembrance of her life of service and gregarious love of dogs, donations may be made in her honor to Planned Parenthood of Pasadena or the Pasadena Humane Society.
