Margaret “Peggy” Bergan (nee Ardini) passed away in the early morning hours of March 12, 2025, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. Peggy was born at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on February 18,1953 to the late Robert and Frances Ardini and raised in Manchester, CT. She married the love of her life, Michael Bergan, and together they enjoyed many wonderful years of marriage, creating a family they cherished deeply.
Peggy dedicated much of her life to helping others. She worked as a special education paraprofessional for the Manchester Public Schools and was an active member of the Manchester Basketball Association (MBA), a townwide girls’ youth basketball league. She spent many years with Mike racing Porsches, a hobby which she loved. Peggy and her family vacationed in Harwich Port, MA, a place she considered a second home. There she made many friends and created countless memories.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Edward) Kelly and Maura (Meredith) Bergan. Her adoring grandchildren Edward and Mary Katherine Kelly. She is also survived by her brothers Robert and F. John Ardini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 896 Main Street, Manchester at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 17th. Burial to follow at East Cemetery, 220 East Center Street, Manchester. Family and Friends can call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center, Manchester on Sunday, March 16th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
