[font=font157032]BRADLEY [mdash] [/font]Nancy Lynn Lambert, 69, of Bradley, peacefully passed away Wednesday (Dec. 4, 2024), at her home.
Nancy was born May 15, 1955, the daughter of James L. and Ruth L. (Karns) Burton, in Kankakee.
Her first husband was Gary Francis Silsbee.
Nancy’s second husband was Roy Lambert, who she married Dec. 29, 1989, in Bradley.
She retired in 2003 from working for the U.S. Postal Service in Kankakee.
Nancy was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a member of the American Postal Workers Union and a member of the National Honor Society.
Nancy is survived by, and was a proud mother to, her three children, James M. (Jessica) Burton, Sarah R. Hill (Garrick) and Rachel L. Lambert (Michael Hopson). Also surviving are her sister, Donna (Roger) Helgeson; brother, Randy Burton; nine grandchildren, Lauretta Hopson, Oaklee Burton, Kinsley Burton, Ayden Burton, Haylie Burton, Keegan Hill, Leilani Nickell, Quinton Nickell and Ryan Hill; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Joanne Vazquez.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Roy Lambert; her parents; grandparents, both maternal and paternal; sister, Joan (Joni) L. Helgeson; brother, James (Jimmy) A. Burton; and grandson, Coleton P. Burton.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life event will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025. The location and time will be announced at a later date.
