PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) highlighted several officers and one civilian worker in its 2nd Quarterly Report, released on July 1, 2025. The officers were noted for their productivity and dedication to service during the quarter, while civilian Linda Brooks was recognized for her contributions to making the team run smoothly and efficiently. In the report, CCSO stated it remains committed to responsible policing and building trust in the community.
These officers were recognized for their service:
Deputy of the Quarter: Ryan Campbell: Deputy Campbell played a key role in closing a series of vehicle break-ins in the Prince Frederick and Huntingtown areas. His contributions included 11 criminal arrests, three CDS arrests, two DUI arrests, 12 warrant/summons services, 53 written reports and 128 traffic stops, resulting in 156 warnings and 24 citations. He also conducted 273 patrol and school checks and responded to 854 calls for service.
Correctional Deputy of the Quarter: Deputy First Class Mike Lanier: DFC Lanier was recently recognized for rendering critical assistance to a Maryland State Police trooper involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. As part of the Transport Team, DFC Lanier steps up to manage transport scheduling, which includes coordinating with outside agencies, obtaining writs and securing the appropriate court documentation.

Detective of the Quarter: Detective Branden DeLeon: As many detectives were engaged with complex casework and the interagency promotional process, Detective DeLeon began to distinguish himself as a rising leader. He has taken initiative in managing investigations, mentoring peers and providing a consistent and calming presence within the unit. Serving in a dual capacity as both a detective and K-9 handler, he consistently demonstrates an exceptional ability to balance the demands of both roles with professionalism, focus and a strong sense of duty.
Civilian of the Quarter: Linda Brooks: Serving as an Office Specialist I in the Fugitive Warrant Unit, Brooks ensured that all warrant and summons entries were processed with exceptional speed and accuracy, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of operations. She also willingly stepped up to help her teammates during family emergencies and collaborated seamlessly with the Child Support Bureau. “She is truly deserving of recognition as the Civilian of the 2nd Quarter of 2025.”

The third quarter will wrap up in October, and Calvert citizens can expect two more quarterly reports in 2025. The full report and past reports are available online.
