NORTH BEACH, Md. – December 2024 proved to be a whirlwind for David Peter Lambert, 53, of Huntingtown, whose actions triggered multiple arrests across the county. From disorderly conduct to property destruction and trespassing, Lambert’s misadventures played out like a chaotic mini-series, with law enforcement repeatedly stepping in to restore order.

On December 13 at approximately 1:07 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a disorderly subject at North Beach Union Church on Chesapeake Avenue. Witnesses described Lambert yelling and pacing erratically near the church, appearing under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Despite repeated attempts by deputies to communicate with him, Lambert ignored them and retrieved mail and pamphlets from the church mailbox, which he tore up and discarded on the ground. He then wandered into traffic, waving his hands in the air, drawing the attention of bystanders. Lambert was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, theft under $100, and destruction of property.

Later that evening, at 10:32 p.m., Lambert was reported harassing customers at a Wawa on Market Square Drive. Employees identified him as a subject trespassed from the property in November 2022. Deputies located Lambert at a nearby Exxon, where he was wearing a camouflage jacket and matching the description given by witnesses. Lambert was arrested for trespassing without incident.

On December 14, Lambert returned to Wawa at approximately 5:11 p.m., despite being barred from the property. Employees Chelsea Franceschini and James Kennedy recognized Lambert from prior encounters and noted his distinctive camouflage jacket. Deputies apprehended Lambert in the parking lot of an adjacent Verizon store after he entered a restricted area behind the Wawa building. Lambert was taken into custody and charged with trespassing.

On December 17, Lambert’s disruptive behavior spanned several locations. Early in the day, he was reported harassing guests at the Quality Inn in Solomons. Deputies directed him to leave the property and sent him on his way. Later, Lambert caused a scene at a site on HG Truman Road in Lusby, where he allegedly became aggressive toward workers and stole a jacket. Deputies trespassed him from nine properties and issued a warning that further incidents would result in his arrest. That evening, deputies received reports of Lambert causing a disturbance aboard County Bus 154. Witnesses described Lambert rummaging through passengers’ belongings, throwing items, and threatening others. Deputies arrested him at the Southern Community Center for disorderly conduct.

While in custody at the Calvert County Detention Center on December 21, Lambert added another incident to his record. Deputies responded to reports of a damaged sprinkler in his cell. Upon inspection, the sprinkler was found completely broken off the wall, causing significant flooding. Lambert claimed he was “hanging socks on the sprinkler” but provided no further explanation. The damages were estimated at $500. Lambert was charged with destruction of property.

Lambert now faces a litany of charges, including multiple counts of trespassing, disorderly conduct, theft under $100, and destruction of property. Each misdemeanor charge carries potential penalties of up to one year in jail and fines of up to $5,000, with additional restitution likely required for property damages. Deputies note that Lambert was arrested four times in December alone, reflecting a pattern of disruptive behavior across Calvert County.
