Arvle Adkins 91, of Duncan, Oklahoma, died December 7, 2024 at Duncan Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. in Fletcher, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024, at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
Arvle was born January 30, 1933 in Sterling, Oklahoma to Arvle and Gertrude Adkins Sr. Arvle was a veteran serving in the United States Army, and worked as a security guard at Halliburton before he retired and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters Rhonda Boren and husband Jed of Duncan, Oklahoma and Tracy Fudge and her husband George of Duncan, Oklahoma; a brother Dwain Adkins of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Sandra Waters and her husband Patric, Crystal Herringshaw and her husband George; great grandchildren Brittany Eakins, Daniel Brock, Abby Yates and Michael McConnel Jr., a great-great grandchild Ibey Anderson and special friend Joleen Rose.
Arvle was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sisters Pauleen Oakley, Mary Kelly, Gladys Clemons, Opal Bohreer and Janie Turney.
Pallbearers will be Michael McConnel Jr. George Herringshaw, Daniel Brock, Patric Waters and Josh Eakins.
