Floyd David Bartram, 82, of Clarksville, IN passed away at home on Friday, November 15, 2024.
He was born on March 6, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Floyd Franklin Bartram and Winona Eloise Edwards.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later built a successful career as a manager and contractor sales representative at Lowe’s Lumber Company. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School, attended Marshall University and remained a devoted fan of “The Thundering Herd.”
On June 15, 1985, David united in marriage with Judy Ann Mason, with whom he shared 37 loving years before her passing. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his cherished children, Matthew David Bartram (Michelle), Shelly Marshall (Steve), Megan Bartram, and Kim Welch (Monte); grandchildren: Hannah Bartram, Abigail Davie Marshall, Gabriel Marshall, Madeline Marshall, JT Welch (Peyton), Jared Welch (Hannah), Jacob Welch; great-grandchild, Tinley Welch; and a grand dog, Buddy Lee. He is survived by his brother, Philip Bartram (Stella); sister, Deborah Spitz (Alan); sister-in-law, Kay Eves; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
David will be remembered as a kind and dedicated family man with a generous heart and a steadfast spirit.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers family ask that memorials take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
David’s legacy of love and commitment will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
