Rockwall, TX – Barry Randall Brown , a longtime resident of Chandlers Landing in Rockwall Texas, ascended on June 26 at the age of 68.
Barry’s life’s work was in the environmental assessment field. He held a Doctorate of Jurisprudence.
He is survived by his wife Terry, his two sons, Benjamin Jordan and Brian Joshua. He was devoted to and adored his grandchildren, Blakely Brown, age 12, Baylor Brown, age 9, and his only grandson, Braxton Brown, age 2. In addition he had two step grandchildren, Hannah and Madison. Other survivors include his brother Doug Brown and sister, Tina, his brother and sister in-law, Scott and Debbie Trout, sister -in-law Tommie Fuller and many nieces and nephews. He doted on his 93-year old mother, Jean, whom he cared deeply for.
Barry was actively involved in his grandchildren’s education and care and dedicated to their well- being. He was beloved in his community-a selfless man who mowed the neighbors lawns and adjusted their trash cans on his daily walks. Mostly, he will be mourned by neighborhood dogs. An animal lover, his pockets were full of puppy treats and distributed during those daily walks with his own dog, Jake and his mother’s dog Sheba.
His motto was, ” If you can’t do something for someone else today, don’t get up.”
A Celebration of Life will be held at Restland Monday evening on July 8th from 6-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home
