It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cherlene J. Williams in Yorba Linda, CA, on December 3, 2024, at the age of 88. Cherlene, affectionately known as “Nana” by all who loved her, was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Cherlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Williams; her sister, Arletta Seavey; and her brother, Lowel Pierce. She is survived by her daughter Cheron Palmer (husband Flint) and their children Samantha (husband Michael and their children Alaina and Georgia), Kyle, and Sydney; her son Brad Donovan and his children Bradon and Bronson; her stepchildren Sheri Avey (husband Rick and their children Jeremy, Sarah, and Bryan), Mike Williams (wife Dawn and their son Derek), and Jeanine Graham (husband Eric and their children Andrew and Alisha).
Cherlene was born on March 30, 1936, to Lowel and Jeanette Pierce in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Alhambra High School and began her career at Braun before transitioning to a 20+ year career in real estate with Century 21. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Williams. They were married on October 22, 1978, and together they enjoyed many happy years of traveling, RV adventures and spending quality time with family.
Cherlene’s greatest joy came in 1992 when she became a grandmother to Samantha. Nana took immense pride in spoiling, caring for, and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These moments with her family, especially her grands and great-grands, were her happiest.
A funeral service will be held on December 17, 2024, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights, CA.
Cherlene’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
