Irvin Earl Goertzen, 98, died on August 18, 2024, at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
Cremation is planned with an inurnment at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at the church.
He was born on May 30, 1926, in Newton to Henry S. and Mathilda Wedel Goertzen. He married Elaine Bachman on Dec. 26, 1947, at First Mennonite Church in Newton.
He is survived by their children Dick Goertzen, Beatrice, NE.; Keith Goertzen, Hutchinson; Nancy Becker, Stockton; Arlen Goertzen, Almont, CO.; and Bradford Goertzen, Goshen, IN.
