Newburyport – Donald Beaulieu, 94, of Newburyport, passed away at home on March 11, 2025.
Born in Ipswich, on December 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose (Pelletier) Beaulieu. Shortly after attending Newburyport schools, Donald wed Rita Casey on August 12, 1951. Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and was stationed in both Alaska and Germany during the Korean War. After the military, Donald was a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. During his retirement, he enjoyed delivering auto parts for NAPA Auto Parts. Donald was an avid freshwater fisherman, enjoyed dining at Agawam Diner, and was a well-known member of the community.
Donald was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Rita (Casey) Beaulieu and his siblings Louis and Earnest Beaulieu, and Jeanne Hall. Donald is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18th from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High Street Newburyport. His Funeral Service will follow the calling hours in the Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Newburyport.
