GOSHEN [mdash] Larry W. Ellis, 84, died Monday, Dec. 2, at Waterford Crossing Health Center.
He was born June 26, 1940, in Logansport to Delores C. and Laura L. (Pratt) Ellis.
Larry married Phyllis Neff on Aug. 30, 1959, in Logansport. She passed away on April 25, 2024.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda (Mitch) Chrisman, Bristol, and Kathleen Ellis, Goshen; sons, Michael Ellis, Goshen, and Larry “Joe” (Sonya) Ellis, Middlebury; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Brian Ellis; sisters, Alice Bolen and Elizabeth Eckman; and brothers, Delores C. Jr., Richard, and Francis Ellis.
Larry worked as a field supervisor and oversaw the construction and remodeling projects of several of the local schools.
He also helped oversee the construction of various airports and commercial buildings in and outside of the community.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Father Matthew Wade from St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Goshen, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Goshen.
