[font=font157032]BRADLEY [mdash] [/font]James E. “Jim” Goudreau, 95, of Bradley, passed away Thursday (Dec. 26, 2024), at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Chicago, the son of Philip and Goldie (Shumate) Goudreau. James married Norma Coffman on May 5, 1951, in Fort Knox, Ky. She preceded him in death April 15, 2009.
Jim was a retired auto mechanic and service manager, working mostly on Buicks. He was a crossing guard for the Bradley Elementary Schools. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jim was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis 500. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean conflict.
He was a parishioner of St. John Paul II Catholic Churches, Kankakee.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Joni Goudreau, of Bourbonnais; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Marla and Jerry Kuntz, of Bourbonnais, and Rhonda and Tom Finefield, of Bourbonnais; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Melaine) Finefield, Brad (Tiffany) Kuntz, James (Nicole) Goudreau, Jill (Marc) Naese, Jacob Finefield, Matt Finefield, Justin Goudreau and Jennifer (Ryne) Bessler; and 11 great-grandchildren, Delaney Kuntz, Logan Kuntz, Grant Naese, Lincoln Naese, Naomi Naese, Aubrie Goudreau, Bryton Goudreau, Chelsea Goudreau, Rylee Finefield, Alexia Finefield and Graeme Finefield.
In addition to his wife, Norma Goudreau; he was preceded in death by his parents; and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, West Campus, Kankakee. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.
