Rick Gunterman, 70, of New Albany, IN passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024.
Rick was born on February 22, 1954 in New Albany to the late Vic Gunterman and Jane (Stovall) Gunterman.
Rick was the former owner of Vic’s Cafe in downtown New Albany. After 40 years of running a successful business, he retired in 2018 to become a fulltime grandpa to Hazel and Everly.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Nelson Tyler Gunterman; and his sisters, Linda Kay Gunterman and Sallie Grim.
Rick is survived by his son, Ryan Gunterman; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Gunterman; granddaughters, Hazel and Everly; and former wife and longtime friend, Elaine Murphy.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Decmber 20, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Visitaiton will continue on Friday, December 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Charlestown Road Chapel.
