Don D. Hendryx, 75, formerly of Clinton County, died Nov. 12, 2024, at Ridgewood Nursing Home, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Virgil and Virginia Derr (Fearnow) Hendryx. He married Sally VanLandingham on June 14, 1969, in Frankfort, and she survives. Don grew up in Clinton County, and was a 1968 graduate of Clinton Central High School, moving to Logansport in 1971. He worked for Wilson Food’s in Logansport for 25 years, then at Wornicks in Cincinnati, Ohio for 5 years, retiring in 2014. Don was a craftsman who loved his family, friends and collecting model trains.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Hendryx of Lawrenceburg, daughter, Cathy Hendryx of Westfield; sons, Christopher Matthew Hendryx of Whitestown, David (Amelia) Hendryx of Naperville, Illinois; brother, David Hendryx of Plant City, Florida; sister, Catherine Terhune of Tampa, Florida, Patti (Rick) McClure of Palatka, Florida; grandchildren, Zachary Hendryx of Naperville, Illinois, Lyla Hendryx of Naperville, Illinois, Ethan Rigdon of Westfield.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
