John Joseph Humma, Jr.

John Joseph Humma, Jr. “Jack”, passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2024. Born in West Philadelphia on July 4th, 1942, he was the beloved son of the late Eleanor (nee Kennedy) and John J. Humma Sr.
After graduating from Roman Catholic High School in 1960, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force and upon his honorable discharge, he continued his studies and graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
Jack was the devoted husband to the late Carol (nee Foell), cherished father to Kim Ames (Ralph), Jackie Ashcom (Rich) & John J. Humma, III (Heather), a grandfather “Poppy” to John, Payton, Jake, Kaylee & Jack, and a brother to Mary Jane Neal (Dave), Karl (Toby) and Chris (Marian). He was an uncle & friend to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
In his free time, Jack loved to golf. He especially loved traveling each year with his friends to golf various courses in Myrtle Beach and Maryland. Jack was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, the Knights of Columbus and Visitation BVM parish. His greatest joy of all was his family and his wife Carol, who he met at a high school dance. They are now up in Heaven dancing forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s Life Celebration on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home, located at 200 W Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. Guests are welcome starting at 11 am and funeral services will be from from 1pm to 2pm. Internment will be private at the convenience of his family.
Donations can be made in Jack’s name to the Visitation BVM church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403
