Lawrence – Jose Daniel Marte, 63, of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Nevins Nursing & Rehab Center in Methuen, MA, with his family and friends at his side.
Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of Eduvige Morillo and the late Eligio Marte. He was a most beloved father and dedicated husband who was a math whiz, always ready with a quick joke, and a lifelong fan of Dominos, card games, Bingo, or gambling. You could find him snuggled in the couch with a blanket and his dog, Kane as well as his numerous fur-grandbabies, Cassie, Delilah, Harley, and Micah.
Jose will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Marisol Marte of Lawrence, MA, daughters, Nathalie Marte of California, Davianne Marte and her partner, Angie Nunez of Nevada; as well as his siblings and their life partners, Yvelisse Marte and Luis Crespo, Angela Marte and William Rosa, Juan Marte and Ruth Marte, Daniel Marte and Rosemary Marte, and Maria Marte. He was a committed sacristan and involved member of his church, St. Patrick Parish.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Catholic Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. Patrick Parish, 112 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Following the Mass, a time for visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA.
