[font=font159363]Mrs. Judy Ann Barnett Hammond Wisdom[/font], 74, of Greenhill, Ala., died Oct. 27, 2024.
Mrs. Wisdom was born on March 2, 1950, in St. Joseph to James and Louise Barnett. She was a graduate of Loretto High School and worked for Dr. Weathers in Loretto in the early 1970’s. She married Creston Hammond in 1975 and had three children. They were married until 2001 when he passed away. She worked at NHC in Lawrenceburg and did home health and private sitting from the 1970’s until 2006 when she went to work at El Reposo Nursing Home. She married Jimmie Wisdom and they were married until 2012 when he passed away. She loved her job as a CNA taking care of her patients, and she loved her coworkers throughout the years. She also loved her family, her kids and grandkids and her mother and her brothers. She had a special bond with her brothers. She always said “I was blessed with good brothers.” In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Ferguson; father, James Barnett; and step-father, Charles Spires.
Services were held Oct. 25 at Greenhill Funeral Home with Leon Smith officiating. Burial followed at Portertown Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother Louise Spires; daughters, Tika Crowden and husband Edmond, and Kimberly Hammond and Charles; son Timothy Hammond; brothers, Jimmy Barnett and wife Pat and Charles Spires and wife Martha; grandchildren, Renea Hibner, Tyler Crowden, Andy Crowden, Will Crowden , Jordan Crowden, Lexi Hammond, Issabella Hammond, Cayden Hammond, Brad Hammond, Kyle Hammond, Drake Hammond, Briar Hammond and Kayla Simbeck; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
