Gregg Moore
Oskaloosa. Gregg F. Moore, 71, of Oskaloosa passed Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his home in Oskaloosa. Gregg was born on December 3, 1952, the son of John Richard and Marjorie (Dugger) Moore. He grew up on a farm east of Delta, Iowa. He attended Delta school through sixth grade and went on to graduate from Sigourney High School with the class of 1971. He continued his education at Indian Hills Community College where he earned his airframe license. On December 2, 1977, he was united in marriage to Kerri Cubit in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They were blessed with a daughter, Stephani Lyn Moore. Gregg and Kerri divorced in 2009. On July 22, 2017, he was united in marriage to Christine Kay Wright in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
In 1972, Gregg went to work a Clow Valve in Oskaloosa. He operated numerous machines there; his last position was as a maintenance specialist. He retired from Clow on September 30, 2020, after 48 years of service. Gregg had many interests he had his private pilot license with instrument rating, woodworking, gardening. He was an avid photographer and at one time had his own darkroom to develop his own photos. He also enjoyed travelling, especially with Christine and Stephani and his sister and brother-in-law, Lenora and Will Shepard. He treasured the time he got to spend with his family and friends.
His family includes his wife Christine Moore of Oskaloosa; his daughter Stephani Moore of Minnesota; and his sister and her husband, Lenora and Will Shepard.
Gregg was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin Thursday, August 22, 2024, after 11:00 a.m. and the family will be at the funeral chapel Thursday evening from 5-7 to greet friends and relatives. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. A private family graveside will be held in the Sixteen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to MHP Hospice Serenity House.
