Frederick H. Munnell, 76, Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, Dec. 30, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Mercer on Oct. 1, 1948, a son of the late William C. and Beverly J. (Mathay) Munnell. Fred graduated from Edinboro State College and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.
He was an interior designer who designed showrooms and lighting.
He is survived by his children, Zac Munnell, Fredonia, and Ellie (John) Munnell Trif, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Larry C. (Akiyo) Munnell, Fredonia; a sister, Carrie M. (Jerry) Necastro, Brookfield, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Millie Trif.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary (Mong) Munnell; and two brothers, Randall W. Munnell and Thomas O. Munnell.
The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to the Prince of Peace Center, 502 Darr Ave., Farrell, PA 16121.
