Norma J. Stanbro

Norma J. Stanbro of Franklinville passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Olean General Hospital following an illness.

Norma was born on April 22, 1934, in Belle Center, Ohio. On March 30, 1957 in Brookville, Ind., she married Ivan Karl Stanbro, who predeceased her.

Norma was a 1952 graduate of Belle Center High School. She worked for PC/VeroVox from 1959 to 1962 and then began working for Motorola and then Prestolite in Arcade as a shipping clerk from 1964-1998. Norma loved spending time with her family, tending to her flowerbeds and hanging baskets, puzzles, family card nights and baking cookies for her grandkids.

Norma is survived by her son Daniel (Aimee) Stanbro of Franklinville; daughter-in-law, Diane Stanbro of Franklinville; six grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Stanbro, Katie (Brian) Marakas, Scott (Andrea) Stanbro, Kyle (Stefanie) Stanbro, Danielle (Edward) Amore and Hayley (Brian) Lester; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Thompson of Ohio.

Norma was predeceased by her parents; her husband Ivan Karl Stanbro on Sept. 18, 2024; a son Ronald Stanbro on Jan. 20, 2024; her brothers Richard and Earl James; and two sisters Mildred Hill and Ruth Akers.

Friends will be received at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville, NY 14737 on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, from 1-2 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Pete Spear will officiate. A private burial will follow service at Mount Prospect Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.babbitteastonfh.com/

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklinville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Fund at 75 N. Main Street, Franklinville, NY 14737.
