[font=font81931]ODON – [/font]Mary M. ‘Maxine’ Stafford, 95, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven with her daughter by her side, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana. She was born on February 4, 1929, in Akron, Ohio to Mount Carmel ‘Ted’ and Marie (Maryfield) Bair. Maxine married Lex L. Stafford on December 12, 1948.
Maxine was a member of the Frady Community Chapel. In the past she had taught Bible School and Sunday School classes at the Odon United Methodist Church. She worked at the Odon Variety Store. Maxine enjoyed her flowers, cooking, IU Basketball and cats.
The family left to cherish the memory of Maxine includes one daughter, Pam Stafford of Odon, one brother, Don (Shirley) Bair of Bloomfield and her many friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lex Stafford.
Funeral services to honor the life of Maxine will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Tim Ahlemeyer officiating. Maxine will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15 and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Frady Community Chapel or Raglesville Cemetery or Ketcham Memorial Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
