Bowling Green — Stephan Garrity, 76, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 24. The Bowling Green, KY native, was the son of the late James B. Garrity and LaVera Hardcastle Garrity. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Hargis Garrity.
Mr. Garrity was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. He was retired and had previously worked in broadcasting. He honorably served in the United States Navy.
Stephan is survived by four daughters, Laura Gasaway, Jennifer O’Connell (Dan), Stephanie Brandon (Chris) and Katie Hulkower (Ben); two sisters, Joan Hines and Emily Gouvas (Ernie); eleven grandchildren, Brent Bratcher, Seth Bratcher, Jack Bratcher, Rhett Bratcher, Madeline O’Connell, Caleb O’Connell, Anna Masco, William Masco, Charlie Hulkower, Lucy Hulkower and Hayes Hulkower; and several nieces and nephews and close friend, Brenn Gott.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28 at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29 at the funeral home.
