Steven was born in Jackson Mississippi and then moved to Walnut Creek, CA with his family. After high school, he studied music at the Guitar Institute of Technology. Steven worked at Diablo Petroleum, Diablo Saw-Cut, Central Storage and Pegasus Group. Steven retired in 2016 and moved to Redding, CA. Steven enjoyed his guitars, collecting stamps and coins and his many animals. He also enjoyed going to races at the Laguna Seca Raceway. Steven was predeceased by his parents, Charles Jr. and Marilyn O’Connor, his brother Kevin, nephew Ryan Pease and niece Dolores Barnett. He is survived by siblings, Clare (Andy) Pease, Lynn (Lyn) Barnett, Brian (Lisa) O’Connor and Gavin (Elvie) O’Connor along with many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on December 20, 2024, at St. Joseph Church, Redding, California. His burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Redding.
