Shirley Jean Toombs, 87, of Soldotna, Alaska went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2024, with family by her side.
Shirley was born in Indiana on Sept. 7, 1936. Shirley moved to Alaska with her husband and children where she lived for many years. In Alaska she worked various administrative positions before becoming a very successful real estate broker.
In 1979 she relocated to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma where she lived out her dream of raising horses and owning a ranch. Shirley retired from the Oklahoma Resource Center, where she worked for 25 years. After retirement she continued to enjoy her hobbies which included attending the local senior center dances and raising horses. Shirley leaves behind her children Kim (Gary) Richardson), Larry (Debbie) Toombs, Terri Toombs Nettles, Gary (Tracy) Toombs, and 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Martha North, her brother Jerry Redman, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
