Virginia “Ann” (Wade) Clayburn was born June 11, 1947, in Duncan, Oklahoma to John and Vedes (Mann) Wade. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the age of 77.
A funeral service was planned for 2 p.m., Friday, November 15, at The Christian Center in Duncan with James Miller officiating. Interment followed in Resthaven Cemetery with Wade Williams, Jacoby Miller, Gary Moore, Derrick Moore, Dylan Williams, Colten Williams, and Jameson Miller serving as pallbearers.
Ann attended Duncan High School. On July 27, 1963, she married the love of her life, Leonard Clayburn, and to this union was born a daughter, Tammy. Throughout her life, Ann played many roles. She was a minister’s wife, a mother, realtor, and co-owner of the family business, Clayburn Asphalt. She loved shopping, playing cards and games, and traveling. Ann was also musically gifted and loved singing special arrangements at the church with her husband. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, John and Vedes; brother, J.E. Wade; and sister, Edna Clayburn.
Survivors include her daughter Tammy Field and husband Carey; grandchildren: Caleb Field and wife Crystal, Jarrod Field and wife Ann, Brittany Field, Lacy Keith and husband Brian; and great-grandchildren: Jordan, Kamdyn, Mikah, Jackson, Madden, Weston, Dayton, Hadley, Whitley, and Presley. Other survivors include her brothers Joe Wade (Ruby), Floyd Wade (Shirley); sisters: Betty Hampton (Jay), Sharon Williams (Skip); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
