Waltrud “Trudy” Crump, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, in Salinas, California, at the age of 91.
Born on May 4, 1934, in Germany, Trudy brought warmth, color, and compassion to every life she touched. Her radiant smile and deep love for people were the hallmarks of her beautiful spirit. She had a truly unique sense of fashion that reflected her vibrant personality and the rich experiences of her life.
Trudy is survived by her loving daughters Karen Plantz and Sylvia Granger; her devoted sons Gordon Crump, Allen Crump, and Daniel Crump; her cherished brother Peter Nüchter and sister Erika Klinger; seven adored grandchildren; and seven precious great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private remembrance will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Trudy by sharing a smile with someone or wearing something bold and beautiful in her honor–just as she would have.
